CRYSTAL GLAMOUR - MANUFACTURER OF BOHEMIA CRYSTAL AND GLASS

is a glassworks producing handmade BOHEMIA CRYSTAL with 24% (PbO).

Handmade deluxe crystal products of Crystal Glamour are blown by traditional methods. Unique individuality and beauty of the glass products arise from skills of craftsmen passed over several generations. High quality and elegance of our products have been acknowledged by many customers all around the world.

ABOUT US
Glass factory Crystal Glamour. a.s was established in 1991 in Okrouhlice near Světlá nad Sázavou in Czech and Moravian highlands, in lands tightly connected with glass production reaching back to 14th century. The main reason for generous establishments of glass works was large source of wood. Concurrently with glass-blowing, the refinement of the glass was also evolving. Thanks to brithish influnce of the lead crystal there were already founded glass-cutting shops in the 18th century. One of the famous one was settled in Karlov. They were realizing deep cuts creating optic effects in thick-walled glass. Later director was Karel Bacik, who emigrated to Scotland and there he was one of the three founders and also a director of Watterford Crystal. Glass factory Crystal Glamour, a.s. keeps the traditional production 24% lead crystal, designated for hand cutting. Since 2010 Crystal Glamour, a.s. is the only producer of this kind in Havlíčkův Brod region.
The meltage in modern whole-electric two-pans glass furnace dates to 1994. The founders of the business and the glass-works are businessman Jaroslav Noha and glass master of handcraft Zdeněk Koťara, who gained years of expiriences in glass-works of Czech and Moravian highlands - in Josefodol (today Caesar Crystal Bohemiae), in Dobronín, in Antonínův Důl and also in austrian glass factory in Alt Nagelberg town. He started out in Okrouhlice together with other glass masters Leopold Dejmal, Karel Bačkovský, Zdeněk Bachura and Pavel Zelenka. They all learned the glass craft at the glass school in Světlá nad Sázavou and gradually gained experinece in czech, german and austrian glass factories. The company's name was Glass-Rubs s.r.o. until 2006 and after the investment from Mr. Pavel Satoránský in 2007, the glass factory became company stock under the name CRYSTAL GLAMOUR.
The range of goods includes wide variety of clear crystal and coloured crystal products with modern or clasic Bohemia Crystal cut decors,gold or paltinum with high smalt and sandblasted or golden decorations called "oroplastic".
Crystal Glamour specializes in manufacturing drinkware sets. In Vysočina it continues in tradition hand production called "stemware" which was of interest of another glass factories like glass factory in Dobronín or company Sklo Behemia a.s. Světlá nad Sázavou.
Production of glass factory in Okrouhlice also includes functional decorative products, like paperweights, lamps for aromatic oils or chandelier spare parts. Special productions are crystal mills for pepper, herbs and sea salt and other serving accessories.
Our glass factory is also noted for great handicraft of original rings in crystal products and sealing photographs and post stamps in crystal glass. Under the direction of Zdeněk Koťara, the glass masters hold the world primacy in these unique production procedures.
Our glass sortiment is very different from the manuscript of the other glass factories in Ždár's region, where the glass masters work with different sodium-potassium glass. Products of Crystal Glamour are not based on randomly formed metallurgical glass, but they are hand made and blown into wooden or aluminium rotating forms, which ensure precise final form according to original proposal. All our products are entirely hand cut and further refined.
